Situated in the Una District in Himachal Pradesh, India, Maa Chintpurni Devi temple is one amongst the major Maa Bhagwati temples in India. The Bhawan area is a busy place most part of the year with tourists. Once up there, you will find lots of hotels for a comfortable stay and Darshan. The temple like many other main temples in north India is situated on a hill top. The general people up there are friendly and give you a very comfortable feeling around.
How to reach: The closest Airports are Gaggal close to Kangra(closest), Amritsar and Chandigarh.
By Train: The closest train station is Una, however the railway line is getting built up further till Amb which is almost under trial in 2011. 2 major trains running on this track are Janshatabdi Express and Himachal Express.
By Road: If you are South or other places down Delhi, the best route would be:
Delhi- Panipat- Ambala- Chandigarh- Anadpur Sahib- Nangal- Una- Amb-Mubarakpur- Bhawan. This is the best route with less traffic and world class roads apart from a few patches. Delhi-Chandigarh-Bhawan is around 450 Kms.
However you can also change from Ambala to Ludhiana- Jallandhar- Mubarakpur- Bhawan for a little longer route through most of Punjab.

Once you reach the mandir area through the narrow road/ bazaar. The white building in the picture is the authority building just above which towards the backside is the temple. Your car/ bus can be allowed to come till this point if you are a local resident or VIP, otherwise the general public is stopped around a kilometer back and the vehicles have to be parked there and then one has to walk to this place. Left to this building goes the old stairs up to the Bhawan of Maa Chintpurni. There are small shops for prasad and other refreshments alonside the stairs.
This is one of the gates where frisking starts. Once you enter this gate you take a left and after thorough security check you go up to the first floor in front of the main bhawan.
The picture is taken on a no rush day. Otherwise the rush at this bhawan is just like any other major bhawan. Prefer going on a week day because this Maa bhawan is in the middle of Himachal and Punjab, so most of the Punjabis come here on most Saturday and Sundays.
Not to mention on Navratras the rush is beyond explainations. There are many devotees who set up langars long down the mountains too.
Once you climb up the stairs, ahead is the Pravesh Dwar below which on one side is an old Hanumanji's idol.
Finally, after crossing the pravesh Dwar, just a few step further, get prepared for the main Maa Chhinn Mastika Dham Pindi Darshan. Just ahead of the man in the picture with a handkerchief on head is the Maa. And the Pindi Darshan Below?

Its a tested fact, if you have tensions in life or a specific one which you can't get relief of. Come here and bow down with faith and honest heart begging for relief, no reason you dont get relief. I have tested it myself.
That is the exit door for common devotees and the below one shows the exit door of the Pandits from the main place. If you are a VIP, you can get to do special pooja sitting just next to the Pindiji.
